Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Inherit (“the Service”) operated by Inherit Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Inherit is an AI-powered platform that generates account handoff briefs for sales teams. It integrates with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce), accepts CSV uploads, and uses artificial intelligence to produce structured transition documents.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@useinherit.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorisation. One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ data
• Use automated scripts to scrape, extract, or abuse the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
• Use the Service to process or store sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary for sales handoffs

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. Prices are listed on our Pricing page. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as described in our refund policy.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

If your payment fails, we will attempt to collect payment for up to 7 days. After that, your account may be downgraded to the Free Trial tier until payment is resolved.

6. Free Trial

The Free Trial tier allows you to create one handoff at no charge. No credit card is required. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Free Trial tier at any time with reasonable notice.

7. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload or connect to Inherit (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process Your Content solely to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload CRM data and that doing so complies with your organisation’s data governance policies and applicable law.

8. AI-Generated Content

Briefs generated by Inherit are AI-produced summaries based on the data you provide. They are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated brief. You are responsible for reviewing briefs before acting on them.

9. Intellectual Property

The Inherit platform, including its code, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Inherit Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your billing settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days to allow exports. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INHERIT INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
